Good luck with your search ,ps the shortest BB spindle MAVIC made was 114mm and the unit fits all shells without any thread

Are you sure about that the 114 is the shortest spindle? According to Businesscycles.com Mavic 610 had a 110 mm spindle for track usage. I've never seen one up for sale but..

I'm probably have to cope with some other brand as the 114 mm spindle is too long for single speed usage and those 110mm - if they exist - are quite hard to come by.

I have only ever seen the road units , I believe 116mm were supplied with groupsets and 114mm were supplied aftermarket ? I tried fitted a Square taper campag centaur 111mm unit to my 1st gen mavic cranks but they inner ring and arms hit the frame , I needed all of the 114mm and I got a cartridge bearing iso taper tifosi as I am not to keen on the damage the Mavic BB may do pushing against the bottom of the threaded shell ?
(the campag BB works well with starfish cranks as there is a bit more clearance)
