Mavic 500 hubs and 670 tool

The tacx works ok if there is no over tightening or corrosion. Using the correct tool also prevents damage to the pin holes over time. They pop up for sale occasionally for around 40 squids, well worth it as it also works on the Mavic bb's too.

The tacx usage was during my pro team spannering days so over tightening & corrosion didn't enter into it can never remember damaging the holes

Agreed but we are more likely to be working on not so nicely aged wheels, judging from the Mavic hubs I have dealt with over the last ten years, only about 10% moved without serious strain.
