Would the travel on these (100mm??) be excessive on a late 90’s Marin? Thinking of either my 96 Pine Mountain or a 98/99 Mount Vision that currently has Manitou SX R forks.

To add. The SXR on the mount vision have a base of fork to base if head set height of 440mm. I have raised the stem height to accommodate my now 51 year old riding style not sure who an additional 30/35mmm on the fork would affect the geometry of the bike - possibly detrimentally!

Yes they are 100mm travel. Not sure it would be too excessive. The Mach 5 which was standard at that time can’t be too far away in terms of dimensions. Naturally you get far superior performance with the oil and spring Z1s.
