Well the rebuild is going well (as you can tell I'm still doing it)
My new seals turned up, so got down to work cleaning up properly, giving the inside of the stanchions a scrape from dirt and rust (springs caused this to flair up).
The internal wiper seal is a bit worn but hey ho it'll still do it's job.
Anyway new seals vanished when I came to fit them, no where to be seen. So had to buy some more.
They've turned up so time to do them again.
Just one thing though...
I need a 4mm (5/32") ball bearing as spring loaded index parts make great ball bearing shooters*
So what else uses 4mm bearings I can pinch them from. Brains fried
* Yes I did know it was there, yes I did try to keep it contained, no I don't know how it found the only small gap in my clenched wrist.
