anyone had much joy seperating upper from lower without the legion of special tools the manual discusses? i have the manual (cheers orange71) and reckon it could be possible, with a bit of care

i have a set i fancy polishing up the lower legs on - reckon it could look pretty swish with a black crown and brace.

yes all you need is a looooooooooooong 5mm (or was it 6mm?) allen key. Or get your neighbour to cut an allen key in half and stick it in the end of a socket with long extension like I did! I think the rest must have been self explanatory coz Iif I can do it anybody can! Don't recall needing any other special tool.

so the screw to seperate upper from lower is just an allen key then?

dont think i have any long AK's

what grade of oil did you refill with?
