Marin Team Ti

Come on people wake up - an entire unmolested and fine condition titanium Marin for no money ! If I didn't already have a ti bike I'd rip his arm.
Seems some people don't know a bargain when it's smacking them in the face.

Most people on here (and on eBay as well, to a large extent) enjoy building bikes as well as riding them, so the frame and forks and the parts would all sell well here, but a complete bike has a limited market.

It's ironic in a sense, as the buyer of the frame/forks might then spend ages sourcing parts for an original build, whereas if he had been offered the complete bike in the first place, he wouldn't have been interested. Ironic but logical, as buying the complete bike would mean missing the enjoyment of sourcing the parts and rebuilding the bike.

And to top all that, many Retrobikers who lovingly rebuild a bike have no sooner finished it than they embark on a new project, so they have to sell the one they have just completed. But of course they have to split it, and so the whole process starts again.

'Anthony' - I entirely appreciate what you're saying but as someone who has been guilty of all the illogical crimes you've highlighted and doubtless invented even more [a very expensive way of building/re-building], I cannot help thinking that someone, somewhere in our august membership would prefer to avoid the financial stupidity and just bag a bloody fine machine and enjoy it.
Hindsight would dictate that person as me......if I hadn't committed all those crimes building my Litespeed!
Come on; box clever and give the guy his Christmas cash - Tiny Tim can't survive on old copies of MBUK alone.
