Marin Team 1996

Hello
I'm Thierry from France, sorry for my english...
I've just bought a Marin Team frame 1996 in France .
This frame was to sale on Retrobike a few weeks ago, and a french boy bought this frame. He didn't ride with, and I bought him his frame.
The frame wil be equiped with:
- Breezer fork
- Chris King heasdet
- the wheels will be CK/DT céra/ DT Aérolite
- Stem and seat post: FRM
- Sadlle: Flite Evolution 1
- Pedals: XTR M970
- Groupset: a max of Shimano XT M737 parts (crank, lever/Shivter, dérailleurs:...). I'll receive in a few days M737 canti (bought a few days ago on retro bike  ). If you have XT M737 parts to sell ➡️ PM

Here's some photos of the frame, and the fork. The frame isn't in good condition. I'll make a new paint (same color as the original), and new stickers. And I'm also looking for a "Marin logo for the head tube"

team marin

bonsoir thierry.

team marin c'est bon!

the bike should turn out ok with xt parts. a good hardtail mtb.
will you be doing the paintwork yourself? our resident gil_m should be able to supply you with replacement decals if you need any.

keep us informed on build progress!

merci beaucoup.

marc.
p.s your english is better than mine and i live here, 32 years and counting.

I will have a period decal for a scan in a couple of weeks if you get stuck....

I would'nt go hardtail myself....keep it rigid 8)

For the stickers, I found some one in France who can make the décals, for few €.
For the paint, I found (again :D ) some one specialised in painting frame, helmet who can make me the same color as origin.

I'm ok with you marin man, it will keep rigid, it's the best sensation of ridding according to me.
My other MTB (a Paduano Caino) is also full rigid

No matter I'll do it.
But I've a lot of time: what I want is that the bike will be ready for next summer....
Time to find all the parts I need.
