Marin are measured c-c, and note that the top-tube isn't sloping. For example the top tube is 23" (actual) whereas a 19" Kona has a 23.6" top-tube (effective).

Hey, thanks for that, think hes after a 19" c-t max unfortunately.. those Pine Mountains are lovely..

the Muddy Fox was heading for SS but having struggled to find the correct size bmx freewheel, and because i think it would be more useful, I am keeping it geared so just needs some pedals which are arriving imminently! oh and that bb axle from Chris.. thanks again old bean

£55 Bargain! I've got the same frame but with disc mounts, really nice bit of kit. Mine weighs 4.7lbs so not too bad for a steel frame.
