This is my Mount Vision from about 2006, came to me as a frame and the bits came from my shed. Its now my daily MTB ride.

Rough spec, Recon Silver forks, Easton XC One wheels, RaceRace cranks, DX pedals, XTR 3x9 shifters, front and rear mech and cassette and Hayes Stroker brakes.

Re:

Is that a Quad TARA? I bought a 2001 single pivot Marin last summer that I have spent a small fortune changing almost every part on it, but I love the way it rides. Most of my miles are done on a brace of Coyote HT2's, but with spring approaching I can see the Marin taking up its fair share of duties :).

Hi David, it is a quad link but not the TARA, that has three positions for the rear shock and is changed with a QR. The TARA was aimed more at what I guess we would call the enduro market now as it allows you to change the ride height and travel. It also had two positions for the bottom suspension link that changed the wheelbase by about 20mm

I have been meaning to try putting the TARA back end in this frame but I havent managed to find one in the right colour yet, if anyone has a black anodized TARA back end I would love to try it. It should be a strait swap as all the pivot points and links are in the same place regardless of what frame you have or what size. It should also be interchangable with all the Whyte parts :-)

The single pivot Marins were also great, in terms of ride quality I think they were better but nothing like stiff enough in my view. The Quad link solves that but has a bit more weight [a bit like me], comlexity and more bits to wear out.
