Below is a picture of a bike I bought back at the end of October. I only bought it due to the kind help from Little Mark on here. He kindly made me aware of it in a local shop to him after I put a wanted add up here.

I built one of these up from a frame back in 1995 using all XTR and some other pieces as the stock bike was beautiful but I wanted different parts. I spent a lot of time and money building it back then. Unfortunately when I got into cars I sold it. Not long after regretted doing so. It's bugged me ever since, so decided to go down memory lane and recreate it. My bike was a 1995 bike, as some may notice this is a 1996 bike. It makes no difference as all that is important is the frame. The frame didn't change between 95 & 96 only the decals and headtube badge. The build will consist of being stripped right back so these will be changed.

As you'll notice in the picture the forks are stuck down. I've already rebuilt these with new elastomers from the states and a new stantion from we are Stevo. Although still playing around with them as not sure about the extra travel kit. I sourced another 517 rim, brake blocks, Marin tyre, White Industries rear hub, decals on order with Gil, a brand new head tube badge from 1995, XTR front mech, XTR combo shifters. I did buy the correct bars from another member but he took the money and not heard since. The money is not so much an issue. I really want the bars though gutted about that.

I still need the blue bars and blue bottle cages, and also Marin bar ends if anyone has any of these or knows someone. Once I get the bars I'll strip the bike to get the frame re-lacquered. Although it was nice to ride it for the first time after rebuilding the forks. I'll upload more photo's as I go.
