Retro Newbie
Thanks for adding me. I’ve been running this from new. Recently ran into trouble with the front fork, Answer Manitou Six Super. It was very soft in the cold, the other day. I looked up the destructions, thinking that a seal might have got a bit less supple and realised that I should have been cleaning and relubing etc every 6 months, after 6 months.

19 1/2 years late, it still had oil in the damper leg but topping it up and regreasing everything didn’t improve it much. I know that feedback on this fork was never fantastic but you have to admire it for still being something like useful after just cleaning it and lubing the shiny legs for 20 years.

Looking on here, I think I missed the boat for service bits by about 5 years and it didn’t take long for me to realise that new forks to fit my bike were starting to get rare too. Managed to find a nice Rockshox air that’ll be easy to find bits for, if I need them over the next 20 years.
