Hi folks,

I've been putting together a Marin for the last few months.

I've got to the point where I want to replace the rear shock.

I have a Fox Float RP23 to fit.

I have half removed the old Shockworks but I'm not sure how to get it fully out.

The part at the pivot I fine, it's just the top I'm struggling with, I don't want to hit it with a hammer and damage it!

Also, I will need some new fitting s for the Float so some guidence there would be great also!

Thanks!

Gary.

Re:

Hi.are you sure the new shock has same eye to eye as the old one? Its just in the pic it looks too big.im sorry I cant help with the shock removal

Looks like there is a bolt going completely through, you can just press it out. If you are lucky, that bolt will fit through the eye of your new shock. Then you will only have to deal with the width of the eye.
If the bolt does not fit, you will need a complete custom fitting. Or a new bushing ring in your fox fitting the bolt.

Re:

I've just managed to get it out with a bit of tapping, freezer spray and hot water!

The through sleeve is in tact.

I just need to make sure I measure properly for new bushings (if my terminology is correct).
