Marantz CD53 HELP NEEDED

Hi all ,HELP NEEDED , just cleaning the kitchen floor ( just doing what the little woman says ! ) so fired up the old HI-FI , just one problem , the old Marantz cd 53 seems to jumping or skipping , so the big question is can it be cleaned , fixed or dumped or up graded ? oh by the way happy Christmas :xmas-wink:
