This used to be my dream bike (together with the Manitou FS). Unfortunately, not very many were sold and are still around. What did you do with the blue one?

And what happened to the top tube of the green one? Was someone looking for cracks?

I'm also 99% certain you could refill that shock with plain air. Remember, air is 80% nitrogen anyways. Nitrogen has the added benefit that there's no moisture in it, while normal air does have that. So if you would use air, you might contaminate the oil a bit faster.
There's two posted for sale right now on RBUK. You can make your dream bike a reality if either is your size ;)

The blue one I managed to find a new home for. I've asked the new owner if he's gonna post it up here on RBUK.

Yep, the shock is currently filled with air. I've been told I can just take it to a motorcycle service shop if I want to get it filled with nitrogen.

That was me. The paint was flaking really bad in that area, so I light-sanded the area to be sure there were no cracks. There weren't 8)
and here i thought you had tried to saw the frame in half to try and save me on some shipping.

Re:

okay here's the blue one, which is now owned by megaguy *surprise, surprise*. :D

he'll eventually put up his own bike thread but would appreciate some feedback on it. here's what he has to say:
i'm undecided on the colored cables, and the Girvin fork, not sure if i like the Mag 21 more or not, the Girvin feels much better (as all linkage forks do)
as well, he has a more modern rock shox shock on the back as he still needs to service the original noleen.

had to stick with the CBR E-cranks, as the axle isn't wide enough for the Grafton. :|

locked the front and rear mech on middle gears and slapped a chain on, also cabled up just the front XT canti so i could brake when i took this out for a spin. felt good with the stem/bar setup, rear shock seemed to be performing fine, needed more air in the forks as it was too soft. :D

so finally a long overdue update. in my typical "hoard first… think later" fashion, i have gone from originally 1, to now 4 and change RS mag forks in attempt to keep this build moving forward.

my first attempt will be to use a very blocky crown with a ti steerer. anyone can give me some input on it would be welcomed as it does not look like any other crowns i have. if it's short than i'll have to try a second 1" version with a tad longer steel steerer.

i've also secured a silver 1-1/8" critical racing stem that i'll shim down to 1". it's not ideal as it has zero rise and i would have liked it to have had some as i won't be able to left up the cockpit with spacers given the short fork steerers i've managed to pick up at this point. so it'll sit fairly low up front at the moment. thx goes out to Lord_fowl for the stem. ;)

Re:

a very long overdue progress report.

this is prompted by receiving a nice Ringle Moby seatpost just today thanks to kase1983 who answered my want ad. along with that, i've added some Ringle ti road skewers to compliment the Critical Racing stem. 8)

just need to cable it all up and add some grips and i can take it for a spin before tearing it all down and stripping off the paint and polishing it up. will decide to repaint or not at a later date.

Re:

You do a yearly update :D

I prefer the black flite over the white one btw. Now we would love to see new paint next year and the final build in 2019
