Hello all. I've just picked up some Answer Manitou Mach 5 SX forks on a bike I've just got. They are black with quite a tidy looking alu crown and say ''anti-flex bonded system' on the bridge. My knowledge of retro forks ends at '94 and going by the rest of the bike these are from at least '95/6. Can anyone let me know anymore info on these? They need a service I think but they look ok and I've been looking for a reasonable fork for another project so may use these if they are worth restoring. Any help would be great. :D

These were manitous first bonded fork lowers, they were released in late 1995,for the 96 season really...they are a good little fork, simple to service and easy to look after.....the stanchions never wear out on these unlike some other makers offerings......I have seen loads of sets and never seen a bad one yet

If you need any info pm me...I have quite a few spares for these in my box of goodies

had a set on my super vee bitd
great fork as noddy says
stupidly i sold them for a pair of judy's that were never as good imo

Thanks for the info chaps, looks like I might keep them then :D
