First ride out for the '94 Manitou Hardtail, some further fettling required.........but it survived the ordeal that is the local loop in winter.

"I'm supposed to be a Garage Queen......" wailed the Mani....

"You can't treat me like this, I'll crack!"

clean pics today after a little fettling........black Flite fitted but looks like it might need to slide back a touch and thought I'd try riser bars for a change, the flat bars felt really narrow on it for some reason :? ........must be too used to modern mahoosive wide bars

nice toplines ,i'm frightened to use mine

Same here  .....although I have had these from new and have heard said that the compact drive ones are much stronger.......either way, we'll see what cracks first, the frame or the cranks......place your bets now

imo the best looking hardtail ever :D

too bad mine has a hairline crack in the headtube
have to put it to a frame welder and use it for sunny sunday rides when its repaired.

a really shame that the beautiful manitou frames dont last better.
it would be ok for me if it would weigh a bit more but held up better like the old zaskars for example. using those ultralight easton tubes was a big mistake sadly.
