Manitou crown/steerers

Where the early Manitou crowns and steerer interchangeable. I know a Manitou 3 crown would fit a Manitou 2. How about a Manitou '1' though? Did the '1' even have a bolted crown?

2/3/4 were definately interchangeable, not 100% but the 1 was a press fit like the rockshox of the same time - quadra`s.
to service them you needed a huge 5mm allen key about 18 inches long to reach into the leg to remove the elastomer stack.

Got two pair sof Manitou 1s if anyones interested. Ive also got 2 allen keys too to service them.
