Manitou 1, 1 1/8 threaded

IKSMER

Dirt Disciple
Hello,

I have a stalled build  and I'm desperate to get it finished. Any help on this woud be much appreciated.

I have a Manitou 1 1 1/8" threaded 153mm with 37mm of thread.
Would like to swap for 1 1/8" threaded 156mm - 158mm length.

Or WANTED 156mm - 158mm 1 1/8" threaded Manitou 1 steerer

Or can somebody point me in the direction of the guy who makes ti steerers? I saw some on ebay and think they shipped from Germany.

Cheers

The only word of caution I have is that Manitou 1 steerers have a groove in them with a bit of wire, this holds them tighter into the crown and they are a bitch to replace once out, from my own experience. The bolts in the crown offer some security of course but this makes them press fitted. The alternative might be a nut bolt drilling through front to back through steerer and crown. Or a local machine shop. Or the combined steerer crown unit that somebody has spare.

Good luck. I went through this issue a couple of years back.
