Magura versus V's/Cantis

What do you retro bikers make of Magura rim brakes (HS33,11, others?), I quite like em, they've been around a while so must be retro.

I've seen some pimp V brakes and cantis on this site, and wondered what you prefer.

My mate had some Maguras on his DDG shooter trialsy type thing. they are keen, could they be too keen for general XC, whipping about town?

I know when they came out people were pressing too hard and bending frames/forks?

Thanks and sorry for roasting well roasted peas, I'm still relatively new here. seriously thanks for dragging all those up for me to read.

I think i'll have a pick of two sets of fine Canti levers and mixed bag of plastic shimano canti's :? or no brand blue effortsx1 + Ritchey logicsx1, but did have my heart set on some yellow Maguras, so maybe later on..

They can and do flex some frames but then they are VERY strong brakes and will out perform any canti's/V's.

Given the choice I wouldn't use anything else, they just don't always suit some retro builds.
