magura hs33 on U-brake bosses?

I'm sure I read a while back that it's possible to fit magura HS33 brakes onto MTB U-brake bosses. Is this true?

Beautiful bikes, all of them. Even the proflex with the bars above the saddle!

So, how easy is it to make the maguras fit on the U-brake bosses? I assume it can be done, if you've done it on the Xizang

The mounts go on upside down, and you have to elongate the bolt hole slightly.

I've completely removed the original U-brake bosses, modified the magura mounts significantly, customised some bolts and washers so that the magura mounts are sandwiched between as much material as possible. The U-brake bosses are much further from the rim than canti bosses.

Whilst investigating I saw a U to V conversion plate which is a safer solution, but mine have held up enough for me not to think about them.
