I have , um, 3 pairs at the moment, and have sold 2 pairs recently... I like them very good!
The current bog standard air models are the Menjas. Very stiff , but pretty plush if you swap out the std seals for Fox ones .
They're reasonably lightish, but the race model is the Durin, with rebound +lockout, or the Laurin , with rebound, lockout and copmpressision adjustment.
Older models to note are the Quake Air 70 from 2001 , which I have on both my Dekerfs. I wish I had discovered these 10 years ago. They're brilliant! Not the plushest (they're race forks), but very precise steering, and very light at 1450gm; not as light as SIDS, but they go where you point them and don't blow up. Initial stiction is BAAD but they soon loosen up. They're V or disc compatible, and have a very low a-c of 430mm so are suitable for early sus or non sus bikes.
I also have some Ronins, which are also very light, but more modern ('06) and very adjustable. It's early days , but these seem to be pretty good too.
Prices for any Maguras have always been lower than the equivalent Fox, since not many have heard of them, but prices are firming up recently.
My Quakes cost £60 or 70 each including pump (a must have cos it's wierd) , and my year old Menjas were £150-160 each inc pump. The Ronins were much the same.
There was a rash of 5 prs of Durins on Ebay a couple of weeks ago and they all went for £270+, even the doggy looking ones.
If you see some at the right price, get them!
