Definitely go for the Evo II adapter kit. Especially at that price! I struggled to set mine up for ages with the original fitting kit. The rotating plastic braces are a clumsy solution at best. The only drawback with the Evo II kit is it's all a bit chunky in the end. I still can't work out how the quick release works either. Thankfully I ride that bike so rarely I've not had to change a tyre yet.

If you note in the picture I linked, the side of the brace with the slot for width adjustment needs to be on the side with the QR lever, the one washer provided is used to protect the sot in the brace. On the the other non-QR side, the brace has a round hole which just slots over the head of the bolt so it can be pulled off when wheel removal is required.
