Quite clearly says the price is for postage to the UK. How I see it those outside the UK can ask if he'll post overseas and then it's up to him. :?

Beavis is my friend and is as honest as the day is long so I think the 'bad form' comes from you trying to give him a bad rep just because he didn't want to post abroad.

Maybe there are two points to the grievances, one is despite being the first to express interest for the item on the thread he lost out to a pm with no post in the thread, this is annoying as it's happened to me several times

The other of course being the shipping thing...

Pete,

1. Ad stated postage to UK.

2. There was no mention or intention of sending oversees or any "dibs first then pm" policy.

3. I am the seller and I decide who I sell it to especially as I have had some poor experiences from sending items abroad previously.

However I can appreciate your disappointment, I myself was buying an item from someone on here not long ago, only to be cut off before I even had chance to pay because somebody else offered more money after we had already agreed on a final price - and that was from a gold trader and moderator  - hardly the behaviour you would expect, but that's how it is and would take that over the expensive eBay fees any day. I didn't kick up a fuss about it on here.

I pride myself in being a good seller both on here and on eBay and feel strongly about being known as otherwise, so I would respectfully ask that you retract your accusation of "bad form from Beavis" and in future I will spell out the rules and regs of my sales in a boring eBay like fashion.

Lets just get back to the spirit of retrobiking eh?

At 4:10 pm you sent me the following message:

Hi, thanks for your interest but I'm only posting this one within the UK.

At 4:09 pm, only a minute before, you changed the ad and added the following text:
beavis":1ir1mbdt said:
, includes recorded postage to UK

The original ad said something like this:

beavis":1ir1mbdt said:
28.6mm clamp, Top pull.

Never fitted to a bike, new old stock.

I would like to keep this, but I'm skint.

£40 Paypal Gift.

Your perfectly entitled to pick and choose buyer as you please. But changing the ad or not apologising for your mistake to include conditions also give me the right to post negative feedback.
What was just a sad excuse to ignore my bid have now turned into a blatant lie. All this to make your self look good in the eyes of other members and your mates. That in my book is a case of "bad form" and bad trading if there ever were one!

edit: change spelling and time.

I categorically did not change the wording except to say SOLD in the title. But if you're going to be like that, I refer you to your own message to me;

"...I have the rear derailleur and been looking for one for ages and hope your ok to send it to me in Sweden? ..."

Well the answer was no, I was not ok to send it to Sweden. What else do you want me to do?

Will a moderator just lock this thread please, it's pathetic.
