M. Steel (Dave Yates?) Bike Value

Hi

I’m in need of a bit of help please. I’m a complete novice on retro bikes and I was wondering if this bike has any value and is worth saving?

To my untrained eye, it’s an M. Steel Cycles (Gosforth) racer with possibly a Dave Yates frame. I’d guess the age is 70s - 80s.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I only have the 2 photos of the bike.

Any M Steel is worth saving in my book. This looks in good condition. I see it is Champion tubes rather than the more usual 531 but someone thought it was worth enough to line the lugs.
