LX Cantilever brakes

Does anyone know if it's possible to take apart a set of LX brake cantilevers? I have cleaned an old set, but there is grit and muck in the spring mechanism that I would like to clean out and regrease but cannot get to it.

yes you can do it bit of a fiddle but you can or you can soak them in a soluction of coke washing powder and warm water over night and rinse the next moring

Can you get access to the spring to re grease, or if I try will I break the plastic spring housing?

Take the bolt out :? and the whole thing will come away spring and all. Clean all in solvent except the plastic cover, grease and reassemble.
