If anyone out there is interested in lower gearing on their Stronglight 93 or 49d crankset, I've started making 122 BCD chainrings that will provide it. One is a 37-tooth small ring for use in a standard double setup. Stronglight did make 38-tooth rings in that BCD, and even reportedly a few 37s, but in practice it's hard to find a functional used ring smaller than a 40 or 42.
I also make a 42-tooth triplizer ring that will accept any 74 BCD granny ring, making it possible to convert a 93 or 49d to a wide-range triple (though a longer spindle is needed, as with any triple conversion).
By mid-May of this year, I expect to have a 42-tooth triplizer for 144 BCD Campagnolo cranksets also. Details are at my web site, http://www.redclovercomponents.com.
Apologies if this kind of mercenary post is not appropriate here--I haven't been able to find any guidelines on what the rules are. I started making these things because I love old bikes and wanted these unusual rings for myself, so thought others might want to know about them as well.
