Lots- Kona, Cannondale, Raleigh, Campag, Suntour....

Is there owt left?   :(

Seriously anyway of knowing? maybe I'll email that shaun. still needing wheels, and poss tempted with a bike dynatech? xlite ti bars gone?

ive tried to calm down but its not working so....
i rang shaun when the number was posted,he had read my emails and was sorting thru them all,i asked if i could get over today about 1pm,he said he wasnt at the house and would ring be back in 30 mins to let me know if was going to be possible.
he rings back 20 mins later....
about the cannondales, the guy who owned the bikes isnt actually dead apparently,he is just clearing out and all of a sudden, within the last 20 minutes, his brother is buying the bikes and we seem to have undervalued them quite a lot...
so what has actually happened in reality is he was happy to sell them to me when i first rang then obviously read thru a few more emails, someone on here has obviously offered him more so he comes up with cock and bull story saying a family member was having them all along..
i am seriously unimpressed with all this,i wasted all day yesterday waiting for replies then finished work early last night at a cost to myself of £50 as shaun was supposed to be on holiday all week so i presumed i could get up there this afternoon only to be fobbed off with a load of bullshit.
my advice people is to steer clear of this pair of timewasters.

interesting, thanks for that update.

I found the thread last night and the bikes look fairy good value, but thats to us, THE enthusiasts, on ebay i've watched loads of stuff bomb recently, supposed classic/retro 'wanteds' retro MTB's oldskool Ford alloys the lot cheap as chips, cars and bikes. says a lot about teh true credit crunch, not teh hyped one IMO.
had to bite my finger on many occasions.

The parts look fair to Retro bike priced to me, not super cheap or owt. Will see if I get a reply to this mornings email, and go from there. factoring petrol and a night out on the snake pass that will add some cost to the purchases..

lets see how it goes then. :)

i emailed shaun, got a reply, phoned him up,arranged a time and went over(6 miles from my house) and picked up the bits i wanted
he seemed a nice ,genuine guy, trying to do a job on behalf of his wife's father, who contrary to what matt wrote is definitley NOT dead

give him a break, the guy works shifts and speaking from experience on this there is nothing worse than on your one or two days off sitting at home waiting for someone to turn up at a certain time then that person not turning up
just be patient i have seen the bikes they are real, some is at his house, some still at the father in laws and is being moved over
shaun wants to sell as he is getting hassle from the boss(i know this feeling well)
any way i am happy with my lot
cheers
tony

I've been there today and picked up the Saracen and Kona :D and Shaun was a good bloke- There is another splatter Kona left a peugeot and a few bits and bobs but not much! Who got the Black prestige frame?
