looking for mud gaurds - need help please !

I have a mate that needs a set of short mud guards for a Raleigh Racer / Road bike - i don't know the model, but he says it had short alloy guards on it ?

need a clean set - dent free

please help

parts trade or cash, picture pending

sorry if not in the right place / section - i'm from the BMX department and we only have two floors

Perhaps he could try searching for a pair of Bluemels "Shortie" Mudguards. They come up fairly regularly on eBay and look like this:

They were de rigeur on "10-speed racers" in the 70s, but he'll get a wet arse if he uses them, they don't do much! b

I think it's more for show than go - thought they had more of a pointed look from what i can remember :? about 6-8 inches long ?

The Blumels one had a blunt end, the type that could be found on 1970s Raleighs and Carltons did have a more pointed end.
