Looking For Info On A Dunelt Racer

I came across a Dunelt Racer The other day and I was wondering if it's worth more for scrap value than me trying to sell it?

It looks like a low end Raleigh from just after the TI/Phillips group bought Raleigh.
If that is the octagonal Raleigh headset it will have non-standard Raleigh 26 threads per inch head and bottom bracket. That could make those parts worth more than the rest of it in the US.
Long after Dunelt ceased in the UK they had a few export places where the name was still used.

there is a owners club in the uk and not many around at all

Dunelt badged a very few decent lightweights made in the Armstrong works, all part of Phillips group. This is not one.

Ride a wheel on Sheffield steel

That used to be on their crossbars, not that well know in cycling but very collectable motorbikes. It will be worth something just by the fact that they don't appear very often.

what ever somebody is prepared to pay .

i wouldnt go any more than £25 personally but others might , shame you are not more local

Just noticed your location. Difficult to value for the USA although British bikes always seem to sell at a premium in the US. Personally, I'd put it at auction on eBay with a 99c start. That will determine its value which should be more than it would be in the UK
