Look whats just been invented šŸ˜‰

I am so sick of the constantly evolving set of "standards" for bbs, headsets, proprietary seatpost shapes etc... and don't even get me started on idiotic internal cabling routed through bar, stem and headset.
From a professional perspective, the owners of this type of bike are often as complex and delicate as their proprietory seatpost clamp "system"🤣

Not to mention how cardio unfit many young people are. I see so many yoof these days just flick a switch and blast up a small hill. BITD we took great pleasure in dropoing a few cogs and spinning up. And another thing, how long until bicycles are more expensive than cars ? £6500 ^^& 20K for a Spesh 🄹

From a professional perspective, many of the owners of these bikes have not counted on the fact that the replacement of a headset bearing might cost them £200. That's £28 for the bearing plus 2+ hours of f-ing around routing hoses back through sh*tely "designed" frames, potentially having to remove the BB, bleed the brakes, struggle with the corroded 2mm Allen bolts that don't want to budge, put everything back together etc etc. I know two very competent full-time freelance mechanics who have gone back to being reps because they are so fed up with the total carp that is the design of frames to shave a few watts (in spite of the fact that most of them are going to be ridden by hapless non-aero lumps).

As you need to cut the Olives off the hoses to draw them through the tiny frame holes, then if the hoses were the right length previously, they need replacing🤣

"Ā£200, for a headset bearing!
I'll do it myself."

2 weeks later...
"Ā£200? Cool, thanks."
