Spike, we have always been very strict about the dogs living in the utility area. They can come in to the kitchen and the lounge but never onto the furniture. There have been exceptions when they are under the weather.
Problem now is, having moved, we don't have the same space and our bed is currently a futon. Hard to explain to them that that is not one big dog bed!
Fry ups don't have to be unhealthy.
We use organic local bacon, grilled. Poached eggs. Venison sausages, albeit with a little pork in them. Mushrooms fry/steamed with a teaspoon of olive oil, grilled tomato.
Low salt/sugar beans and wholemeal toast and bob is your uncle. A relatively healthy set you up for the day!
