Lockdown Bikes Spring Clean Of Some Of The Collection

I really like the paint splatter look. I'm thinking of attempting it on my frame when I paint it although I'm not too sure how to go about it.

A few more of the Cindercone now in the sun.

I really like the paint splatter look. I'm thinking of attempting it on my frame when I paint it although I'm not too sure how to go about it.
To do it like the Cindercone i think the basics are just get some paint on a brush and flick it at the frame as you choose.
That's what i always love about the early Konas not one will ever be the same as another.

Very nice @Spanky22b mate 8) Is that the one you got from me?

Yeah, I was thinking once the frame is dry I would spray some paint into a plastic cap off of an aerosol for example and then dip a 1" brush in it and flick it at the frame.

Yeah that should work, i'd put the decals on first before splatting it with paint.

Some more spring cleaning being done this time the 1988 Marin Muirwoods.
Decided to upgrade it like the Cindercone was, this time i gave the Muirwoods the Exage Mountain groupset which suits the bike well, just need to get the cables on now and take it for a spin.
I'll take a couple of the Bear Valley while the sun is out.
Enjoy.

This is the 1988 Marin Bear Valley which i'm overhauling, just getting a rough idea with the Deore parts before everything is stripped down cleaned and polished.

All cabled up and up and running, I've got a different set of pedals on order to finish it off but apart from that it's all done.
Just been on a shakedown ride and i forgot how nice they ride the old Marins, so comfortable.
Next the Bear Valley.
