Live dangerously - home made tandem!

The front and back end appear to once upon a time have been the same Raleigh. I await an expert to come along and identify the treasure that has been cut stretched and shut!

It doesn't look like either of the BBs is eccentric - So how would you tension the front section of the chain?

looks like 2 raleigh mustangs to me :D
Rear dropouts don't look sufficiently rough hewn ;-)

I suspect Raleigh descent, though, looking at how the seatstays join the top tube / seat tube area, possibly at least one donor Reynolds frame?

hoping you like this home made mouyntin bike tandem all it needs is the gears sortting to get it on road not a load of things get bidding and be happy when you and your wife are having fun on a bycicle made for two

Genius! I dearly must own this "composite" tandem, as the seller must have such exquisite mastery of frame construction that he has forgone his literacy in order to squeeze out this bicycle par excellence!

I bet its perfect for those dogging excursions!

Back end is definitely Raleigh, the top of the Seatstays are very like my Peak but the dropouts are different, it's listed as a Diamond Back though and the front end appears to be welded rather than lugged like the back so maybe it's a bit of both?! Clearly hasn't studied Tandem drivetrains very carefully though! :)

Rear is a Montage, the Raleigh insignia on the tops of the seat stays and slotted rear dropout give it away. The forks look like they are Mustang descent and are made of cheese. Deathtrap I reckon.

Carl.
