Linking topics / threads / eBay

Hi all ,

This is sort of on topic but it's not a build /advice/for sale/wanted question .
As far as computers go , I'm sh-t . I can buy stuff on eBay ,I can give/ask advice on bike related issues that we all have from time to time , and I can post pictures on here , via a long process involving Flickr that I set up so I could . However , that is the full extent of my knowledge .
Id like to know IN BASIC TERMS :facepalm: how I can do links to eBay , other threads , pictures and builds that I have done .
Please can someone out there advise , so I don't get left behind :roll:

In the "full editor" ie. not the mobile or quick reply version, use the options above the reply box... colours, bold, italics, links, img etc

Stick a before the "http://www....." bit you've copied from the browser and a after it.

Like this, if the " were removed:
""http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=17""

Gives this:
http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=17

Which is clickable.

I thought you didn't have to do that, I normally just copy the link from the address bar and past it into the message box, press submit.
Or are we talking about something else? (eg signatures etc)
