Light bikes

Does it really matter? My current build is far from the lightest in weight, but rides lighter than anything I have ridden...if that makes sense

just another way to love bikes . :D

precisely, I'm sure there are people on their forum looking at us and wondering why we are spending a fortune on old second hand bits that never worked in the first place  And if theres not a bit of weight weenie in you, you ain't retro

I tend to build with weight in mind*, always have. But I don't like fabrication of the numbers.

*though to price as well.

Do you mean the forks? I've had a quick google and he's removed the damping mechanism. I would imagine a bit of dremeling too.

So what's the point in it being a suspension fork then ?

Its no that interesting, I couldn't find anything from the owner, The socal thread about three or four down

This comment 'The fork is particularly sweet, he's removed the damping assembly, nice pogo stick.'

Remove the damper assembly and I assume the oil as no point having it as that adds weight... on a MAG and well you have just air and so no suspension that you would ever want to use, plus I'm sure the air would leak out everywhere and have a horrible spring rate ;) let along no damping. Looks like no caps either so... who really know.

Better off putting a lighter rigid fork. But he makes it look usable and has some fame from google ;)
