If youve not owned a stand before get ready for a rush of awe
Its OK and ive had mine about 4 years and its still going strong.
I would mark it down for the clamp. Its a bit hard and not the best shape. Plenty or duct/gaffa tape to soften it.
Next was the fixings. I found the plastic around the nuts and bolts wears quickly and slip. I replaced some of mine with QR fittings off a seatclamp. Or swop out the bolts for longer ones so you can get a spanner to them easily- Especially the one that holds the bike level. Its a smooth tube and theres a lot of torque acting upoon it. You'll find when you take a wheel off the weight shifts so much that the clamp cant get grip and slips in the clamp.
On that one i stripped the finish off the tube and roughed it off with 40 grit sandpaper, same to the inside of the clamp.
Unbelievably in my 25+ years of cycling this is the first time I've had a bike stand !!
Better late than never hopefully an end to scratched bar ends and top tubes from leaning the bike up against wall/shed door/on the floor.
Thanks for the tips, saves me scratching my head when the same inevitably happens.
The cycling glasses they had in looked ok too, might pick up a pair
