Let's play cops and robbers....

Always thought it was a bit aggressive to have the name of a firearms firm on the side of the bike (granted S&W probably make all kinds of equipment in the Police Argos catalogue of laminated dreams). That tube space is an opportunity to say something fluffy to the general public withouy having to actually say it. Something like 'honestly, we love Reggae too' or 'Hug a Hoodie'.

S &W make stickers, then buy a mass produced "almost BSO"and market it through their connections to police forces around the world.

I did have the info on what the police had been charged per bicycle - iirc it was 2x the estimated rrp.

We used to service a fleet of these in the shop in East London, they were shit bikes but they didn't mind paying to fix them properly and paid our invoice fairly promptly. I don't think they got a lot of use, most of the officers assigned them looked like they were terrified getting on one (though it would have done them some good!).

see, our local constabulary had a bit more going for them.

they rode Marins, put together by a local shop in white and black. they were alright bikes to be fair.

the local bob shop has a museum under it these days, with some police history. there's a few bikes in there.

next town over is riding carreras

Bristol police had treks too, and some of them really enjoyed being on the beat on these bikes.
