lend me your Vista disc? Sorted!

funny thing is Vista has been absolutely flawless, it even let me play my CD ROM of Driver from 1999 without a hitch.

It would need to be a Vista disc that nobody has installed on their PC at the moment - Vista checks online if the PC configuration has changed.

It also needs activating online.

No worries - this used to be my job.

As LGF probably knows already, the actual DVD used doesn't really matter; it's the license key that's important. You can use the same DVD to install Windows on a different PC every day for years with no problems, so long as you have legit license keys.

If you're still stuck in about a week's time I could sort you out...

its looking pretty sorted.

I used my XP disc that came with my now defunct HP laptop for about 40 builds so far.

Some discs actually have validation onboard.

My short lived Aldi Tevion monster (the £599 multimedia behemoth) reloaded itself just from rom or ram and didnt need a instalation disk.

Would have kept it if the video card didnt keep blowing.

all sorted. In fact I'm typing this on it as we speak:

intel core 2 duo 2.33ghz

2 gb ram

200gb hdd

radion x800 xl

all for the princely sum of £5

and a friendly lend of a disc from rosstheboss 8)
