Leather Toe Straps and Old Style Cleats / Shoe Plates

Good morning all,

I am looking for leather toe straps - in reasonable condition for my Rapide.

They do not need to be Alfredo Binda but that would be good. Black is the colour, the orginal straps on the bike were quite fine/lightweight compared to Binda straps.

I will consider anything - feel free to pm me about this.

Also, i noted in another thread that old style cleats - which are called shoe plates are available with fitments for new style shoes - if anyone has some spare would be interested. To clarify, these plates have a single vertical slot which fits over the edge of the pedal.

Do want the sort you can nail onto leather shoes or the sort that attach onto Look type shoes.....as i have both including nails!....both have slots that are used for old style pedals.....i am not talking clipless pedals.....i also have a nice pair of NOS Diadora leather shoes [44/45] with integral slotted shoe plates....you are spoilt for choice.....pics can be made available......let me know.

Thanks for the reply. I would like the type which fit into new shoes i have Look Keo at the moment but i may change - what are the options?

My old Sidi shoes are size 49 although this is unusual, i am a 10.5 UK normally - ideally, if i could get used shoes like the Sidi's i would be happy but they seem hard to come by - especially in my size. I should say 1980's shoes not 1960's!
