latteral movement in rear linkage

The bike not me!

I rode the FSR that I recently won on ebay for my other half this morning, and everytime I pedalled, the rear wheel moved sideways, which was a very unusual sensation. I didn't get a chance to do a full check over, but reckon the bushes are gone where the chain and seat stays join.

I assume the chances of me getting a replacement set are none, so what can I use to do a DIY job?

find out where the play is 1st. the lower shock bushing has a lot of rotation, they tend to wear there 1st.

Yeah I'll have a good look tonight, sods law I got a flat about 5 min's after I noticed the play so didn't ride it any further. I was riding on the flat and in an easy gear though, so I reckon it is pretty severe. I haven't actually taken one of these apart yet so I'm not really sure what goes on in each of the linkage areas, some of them look like there are black fibre or poly washers, they could do with being replaced I reckon.

More news once I have time to investigate properly.

Contact Specialized UK, very helpful, can order through local dealer, I got 2 new sets of bushes seals and pivots last year, no problem

Oh, actually, presume we are talking about the old FSR with the cro-mo frame and alloy rear swingarm?

Do BETD not still do bush parts for FSR's ?

I know they used to do conversion kits from bush to bearing, Not sure if they still do though.
