Well,

had a nice, but sad ride today. Cycled up Cissbury Ring to see our pup. Her ashes are scattered there. Doesn't seem like a year has gone by since we lost her. :(

Mist was down, and it was very atmospheric. Found a new path down, which was fun. Most of the snow was slushy, and melting. All very slippy though.

Very out of breath as i haven't been getting out much this month  Must get out more in the new year

Ice and snow 1, brakes 0

Usually a nice place to admire the view, today less so.

Only a few dogs and their human companions were out, no other bikes at all. Saw a fox out in the gathering twilight as i came down, but the braking noise scared him off, and i could get a pic of him.

Last ride before xmas, methinks.

Dave

looks very peaceful out there Dave

We're back from the 28th to the 4th (with the obligatory 1 day blip in between) if you've got a spare afternoon or 5?

Tyres are schwalbe Landcruisers. Surprising amount of grip, honest...

Don't have much experience of other tyre types to compaire them with really, one set of tyres has to do it all for me!

Max....definately up for a ride, local, or maybe Whiteways. I have some things i'd like to try out locally 8)

Poor pup. I'll pay my respects when i'm next through the area.

Nice pics. Atmospheric.

Thanks Wu. She went in Nov '09. Cancer. Mandy is on the left embankment by the NE gate, watching for bunnies.

Here she is in about a year before she left us...

It is difficult to take a bad pic up there, the place is so photogenic. There is usually something of interest, or a great view, to snap away at. One of the last times i was up there with Mandy, the farmer was bringing sheep off of the hill on foot. A great sea of steaming fleece, coming down the lane past us, in the autunm chill mist. Mandy was Very interested! Unusual to see sheep being moved like this nowadays down south. It is usual for them to be moved in a truck.
