Large Steel Frame&Forks or Complete Bike.

I'm looking for a large (22 inch+ seat tube) steel MTB F&F or complete bike to build into a drop bar off-roader.

Ideally I'm looking for something British, with lugs and built with Renolds 531 steel but will consider anything. Raleigh, etc.......

Is anyone hiding any gems out there?

I have an early 90s gun metal grey specialized Rockhopper frameset.
It's in superb condition and hardly marked. Includes new headset, and seatpost and bottom bracket. I was considering building it into a tourer,(it's age means it looks more road than mountain), but it is a little big. I could post for around £75. Can send photos. No problem if it is not your thing.

Here it is. crusty but sound.

Suntour XC Sport bits, 7spd barcons, bars, stem all included. Levers are Tektro V-brake versions though. Froglegs inc too.

Lovely Sakae chainset with teeny 26t granny and decent rings

£65 posted for the lot - frame/ fork is free (as it was for me), you're paying for parts and postage. Theres a post and MF seat too, if the buggers will show themselves.

*I replaced the original headset as it was corroded and theres a new BB or at least a refurbished jobbie if memory serves
