large kona frame £30 BIN

.

Hmmm... bit of a gamble as I don't recognise the colour scheme (or head tube logo - what year did that horrid swirl come into being?), certainly not from the catalogues. What makes it a 91??

Mr K

It's got replacement decals and quite possibly had a respray.

The brazed-on seat-post clamp makes it a 1991, and the rack mounts on the seat stay make it a Lava Dome/Fire Mountain/Hahanna. Probably only the weight will tell you which.

You sure about the rack mounts?

On a 1991, yes.

From the catalogues, all 1992's had 'em. But if that is a brazed-on clamp (and assuming it's original) then this is a 1991. If it were earlier it would also have a brake cable noodle welded to the seat tube, but this frame will need a dog collar to run canti's.

Now we know!

True test will be in the weight of it I guess.

While we're here - does anyone have the weight of a 1992 Kileaua at hand? Like to weigh mine once it arrives with my posh scales...
