Hello

It's not often I venture to this side of the forum, though I'm a regular lurker and occasional poster/classifieds watcher across the way in the road bit.

A lot of my friends are getting into cyclocross or trick frames and I'm getting jealous of the versatility and ride-it-off-the-kerb-ability of their bikes.

I'd like to make my own singlespeed winter bike out of an old hardtail MTB frame with rigid forks, 32-35mm tyres etc.

Ideally I'd have an old GT frame as I love the triple triangle aesthetic, but I'd be interested in anything that's going.

The cheaper the better - I'm currently also scouring the <£50 Ebay offerings, but would rather buy from someone knowledgeable and reputable.

I'm 6ft2 so will need something big - but I'm pretty hopeless at sizing mountain bike frames so would appreciate some guidance here.

Thanks in advance!

Nothing?

LFGSS has been more forthcoming in terms of retro mountain bikes than you guys so far, come on!

to be honest, I'd say your budget could be a bit low.

Obviously bargains are out there, but you might want to up it, a touch?

After seeing that red gt,I wish I needed a bike that size!

That's really nice, and if its within budget a bargin too. 8)
