Sold Langsett of Sheffield 1930s - NOW £295

I followed your restoration of this, which was a fantastic job. £395 seems very reasonable to me, I have to say. I suspect you'd have better luck on eBay - might be a necessary evil in this case...

Thanks, yes a thorough job I think. But you're probably right. Maybe it's a bit too retro for Retrobikers!
I may try VCC classifieds (I'm a member) but it seems a bit longwinded compared with here or fleabay but there is probably more of a market. I fear also that I may have "over restored" the old thing. Heyho...

If I had £400 I’d buy it in a snap. Really lovely.

Back on sale after it's miserable failure in RBOTM. NOW REDUCED TO £295.

I need to react to this, and I'm pretty sure others are thinking the same.

The RBOTM was won with a Hetchins in tip-top shape. We all know how endearing (especially in the UK) we are to that sort of quirky rare bike. The close second was a USA very vintage high tech which we will probably never ever see again go through this forum, which had an immense workload put in it. The two stole the show for those reasons.

I see no failure at all with your build, just the facts which are above, which don't detract from your piece of history you restored and made alive again.

This is a beautiful bike, intelligently put together within the design constraints, 100% rideable for every day use. I can not see a failure.
