lacquering decals

Basically no vinyl can be oven baked, I have heard of numerous people having issues with Bob Jacksons, the only decals that can be clear coated and then oven baked are water slide or dry transfers, both of which are not viable to produce in small numbers

If the frame is clear coated with a two pack air dry lacquer or even a basic aerosol clear coat it will most likely be fine, it's the temperature of the oven that makes the vinyl expand slightly and then contract when it cools down and crack around the edge

I know numerous people how have used Argos Cycles for paint refinishing with no issues, they bake at a much lower temperature and it doesn't create the issues

Other option is to ask your decal supplier to supply the decals with a clear coat, this can be done when the decals are printed but is hard to do afterwards and is another process so will add to the cost but give you better wear properties

If you are using a "cut vinyl" a solid single colour you don't need to do this anyway, it's only if you are using a print onto a vinyl that it might be worth doing in heavy wear areas
