I made my own Kona logo for the forks by cutting out the lettering from a Kona sticker I got in 91. It was green lettering on a purple background. I might get a repro made as the original is very worn!

Something of a work in progress: got this from a guy in Sydney who had used it well over the years as a commuter. The frame, forks and seatpost are as I got it; XTR 960 chainset/cranks replace the more modern SLX bits; I'm not a fan of the non-matching Thomson stem but it works for now. Rear Derailleur is up for replacement too; wheels are XT rear and LX radially-spoked front, also likely for upgrades over time. I still have the original Java the Hub front but it's very tired and will need servicing. Since this photo I've replace the saddle with a more contemporary Flite Ti. Scruffy but rides very nicely.

Built up last year for my daughter. Due to the long stem and the small frame size it turned out to be to small for her.

Second built for my daughter and it suits perfectly. She loves the bike and she loves her daddy.
