So if Kona and Sunn have imperfection in welds (my Sunn have been sold and I now own a Marin 96 and a Scott 93) the best of near all choices should be Rocky Mountain. Mine (2006 -7 both) have perfect welds and amazing paint job one in white -electric blue and the other in grey and black. I love so much that I near forget the retro stuff and modern. Hi, i'm very happy to be there after a long time and the time i was after 96 explosif frames ! I had three and broke two.
This 97 exact frame is mine!
just rode it once to recall the feeling 26 years ago when i experiment the stunning ride of it.
it was badly painted by the previous owner.
to have a real idea of the welding, you'll have to strip off the paint.
I am sure it's a very good work;
handcrafted in St Gaudens France, i spoke to the welder on the phone!
columbus nemo tubes; fantastic ride;
same size when i was young, but now i feel it really too small !
sorry for my poor english...🫣
