Kona Titanium - King Kahuna? 16"

Those disc mount tabs look genuine to me. Same as on the Score and others I've seen on KK's. Watch out with the insurance thing. Just recently Parcelforce lost my other Moots Rigormootis that was going back to Moots. How on Earth do you lose a bike frame?!!!

Currently going through an insurance claim.

Nice to see it go to a good home! Mailed the seller a few days ago to make sure that the seat tube wasn't longer - say 18 inches. He confirmed that it was 16 inches for sure  Otherwise it would have been snuggling up with my hots

:D - im really happy with the frame - just got an email to say its on its way. i'll be sure to post some pics once it arrives.

It's clearly a 16, and the surviving decals are from 1998. The main decals would have been black with a white edge.

No Hei Hei/Kahuna had disc tabs, although Ti sports who built the frames did retro-fit them to order. I would be slightly dubious about using disc tabs when there is no brace between the chain stay and seat stay, but if Ti Sports did the work, they must know what they're doing.

The size 16 had a slightly slacker head angle than size 17 upwards, so that much less able to take forks longer than the 70mm Z2s etc that it was designed for, unless you particularly like slack HAs.

The year 2000 KK did. Get your magnifier on this.
