Kona Titanium - King Kahuna? 16"

Can anyone confirm that this is a 16"? Looks like a later one with the gusseting?

that disc tab looks a little sloopy to me. nice frame thou.

I'd say it's a 16 incher, not forgetting that Kona measure from centre of bb to top. They look like the proper disc tabs as well but the lower tab does look slightly odd. Just the angle of the shot or something?

Just had a closer look, it's just the angle of the drop out that makes the tab look different.

Oh yeah, it's a Hei Hei King Kahuna to avoid any confusion, not a Hei Hei as we know it. The Hei Hei had round tubing and the KK had an oval top tube, bi-ovalised down tube and gussetting to both tubes.

The disc tab is the correct type.
Maybe a 1998 KK, going by the "jungle" stickers?

The KK came disc ready only for one year, '99/2000.

DM, I did sell a Hei Hei a few years ago but can't remember the buyers name... The name Paul seems to perhaps ring a bell?? :?

ive spoken to the seller who seems like a very nice chap - he's gonna do the usual marking as a gift, second hand etc and put the value down a little on it. hopefully it shouldnt get stung too bad.
as for the disc mounts, im not sure whether theyre added on later - they look to be welded on the drop-out... guess ill find out when it arrives! it'll be running V's anyhoo...
